Possible pitfalls to avoid
One of the many challenges for MFL teachers is in managing the different stages of the lesson using the target language whilst linking activities which help achieve this to the MFL Framework of objectives. Some possible pitfalls are listed below together with some suggested solution strategies.

3a. Unsustained good practice

Some teachers and learners find it hard to sustain and develop the use of the target language over time.

Having defined good practice and built up a bank of useful phrases, departments will still need to revisit, at regular intervals, the issue of target language use, to ensure that teachers continue to develop their practice and maintain consistency.
