1b. Ignores opportunities for extended use...possible solution strategies
- teach essential vocabulary related to learning objectives, which you can add to over time, for example, comprendre, apprendre, lire, écrire, mémoriser, utiliser
- find original ways of presenting objectives, for example, as a cloze text in the future (on va __ )
- help learners to develop and apply the language of specific terms needed to discuss key literacy features, for example, letter strings, connectives, etc.
- judge when it is appropriate to give clear, carefully prepared explanations in English or to invite questions from pupils in English
- develop learner-to-learner communication and increase the contribution of less confident/more reticent learners.
