Lesson context
Objectives
To contribute to spontaneous talk in the target language
To identify known language, cognates and word families
To develop sentences by adding or replacing elements.
Outcomes
Confident and, where possible, spontaneous listing of up to nine sports plus opinions.
Activities
Practice with resource cards; identifying cognates and non-cognates; regrouping for jugar and practicar; drama conventions (tunnel of thought; thought tracking); pair and small group practice; plenary.
Target language use
In activities, lesson routines and some whole-class interaction.
